Bosch WTL6106 turns once and stops ?

[WTF]

Bosch WTL6106 condensor dryer , turns once and stops ?
It heats up in that first turn and when it goes to turn in opposite direction it stops and lights on front panel go off and also there is a faint ticking sound every two seconds or so.
The only way to get it to turn again as in first instance is to unplug it from mains and start again as turning it off on panel makes no difference other than to stop tick.
Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is ?

I would suspect faulty mains plug/socket or module.

Thanks for a quick reply Greg.
Pretty certain that plug is ok and I have tried other sockets so that leaves control module .
Looks to be the most expensive part of the dryer 😥 , I presume it is this part you are refering to ? and any way of testing it or repairing them ?

Thats the one but I can only speculate on the fault.
To be sure I would have to have hands on as it were.
