Bosch WTL6508GB/07 8504200860 Condenser Dryer Leaking

Hi Guys,

Went to this one today, water container is over flowing and running down front of machine but ’empty container’ light is not coming on, I couldn’t get machine down off stacking kit to fully check it, is there a microswitch/float/arm or a sensor on this model to indicate container full?

Any help appreciated, never worked on a Bosch Condenser Dryer before, loads of Zanussi and Crosslee but not Bosch !

The drain pipe from the water reservoir to the base is blocked with fluff. Do ensure that you thoroughly clean the base of all fluff and the pump chamber too in instances like this or else the fault will come back to haunt you! 😉

Also flush clear the pump outlet pipe to the water tank once it’s been thoroughly cleaned….. 8)

Thanks Martin, do you have to take the drum out to get at the pump like a Crosslee ?

No way, just side panels off is all….enjoy….!!!

All done Martin, thanks again for your help, overflow tube to base clogged with fluff and I took your recommendation of clearing pump tube and all other materials from.

How do these dryers sense the water tank is full, as just out of curiosity I filled up the tank and watched it overflow when the pump came on but it didn’t stop the machine and the indicator for tank full didn’t come on?

After two minutes of float s/w being made, m/c cuts heater off therefore no more condensed water.
