Could someone please advise the best way to approach a belt change (long belt) on the above dryer ? I don’t come across many Bosch dryers, this being a relatively poor area. Mostly Hpt/Ind and Crosslee around here.

bit of a strip down to do this

    top off
    rh side off
control panel off then lh Side
    rear cover off
    remove element and rear bearing

what you are trying to do is spring the back out just enough to get the belt round the drum. to do this you will have to release a few more screws and hoses to do this but once the belt is carefully past the seal you can put it together again

getting the belt round the motor is not too bad as this model shows an idler pulley

hope it helps but its harder to write than say

Thanks Dave, wasn’t sure if I should strip front off or go in through back.

while your in there check the sump . there is a removable flap where the condenser fits. just unclip it and check. if its bad remove pump and clean out. its easy when you have the LH side off
