ParticipantHi. Could anyone tell me which panel(s) I need to remove to replace this belt? Back looks simple enough, front I’d appreciate a pointer to the fixings, side panels seem to need the front panel off first.
Any advice gratefully received.

No advice received. Ah well, it wasn’t difficult.
In case anyone else with the same problem finds this thread:
– Top off.
– Right side off (right side as you look at it from the front. 2 different Torx screws, 2 different size Torx bits, plus a slightly different screw on the bottom). 3 nylon locating studs on the front panel, swing the right panel aside a little and pull it off from the studs.
– Looking into the exposed side of the machine, the motor is bottom right. Remove the half-round cover bottom left that stops you seeing the motor spindle. 4 clips facing you plus 2 hidden but reachable.
– Remove rear cover from rear panel (both screw types).
– Unfasten heater element (2 screws) and swing to one side.
– Remove cover from drum spindle (2 screws)
– Remove circlip from spindle
– Remove spindle bearing (2 screws)
– Remove all screws from left side panel and swing it out a little, sufficiently to clear the rear panel.
– Manoeuvre the rear panel until it clears the drum spindle.
– Pass the belt round the back of the drum between spindle and rear panel and then round the drum, in the same position as the mark from the old belt.
– Lift the motor against its spring and pass the belt round the grooved spindle. Each V in the belt should sit in a groove on the spindle.
– Manoeuvre the back panel into position.
– Refit the left side.
– Fasten rear panel screws except for the right side panel.
– Place the bearing on the drum spindle and pull on the rear edge of the drum with one hand (or get a helper) until a bearing screw will engage with its hole. Fit that screw, then the second.
– Refit the circlip.
– Turn the drum by hand to check that it turns freely and that the belt is properly positioned on the drum and motor spindle.
– Replace the cover over the motor spindle
– Refit the heater element.
– Refit the back cover.
– Refit the right side, studs then screws.
– Refit the top.50 minutes on my own, manual tools only, working things out as I went. Next time, with electric screwdriver and knowledge, 40 minutes.
