ParticipantHi
I am hoping there is someone here who can help me so thanks for reading and if you can offer any advice i would be glad to hear from you.
My Bosch washer/dryer has recently lost it’s drying ability.
Model number is: WVD24520gb
Washing cycles are working fine but any time I start a drying cycle either gentle or intensive it comes to a stop after 5 or 6 minutes with a F17 error code.
I’ve done as the manual says for this code and can confirm water pressure is ok, hose not kinked and filters clear.
I’ve taken out the fan and removed any fluff build up.
I’ve also checked the water inlet valves with a multimeter and see the resistance for the valve relating to drying is reading 5.2kohms and the other two valves for washing are reading 3.6kohms. Is this the correct readings?
When i run a dry cycle I can see water going into the small white chamber for the first minute or so but then nothing. The fan is running ok and pump is draining.
Not sure where to go with this one and cannot afford the hefty charges for a Bosch technician just now

Hi this is a link to the same machine and error code as yours, they are saying replace valves, i guess they mean the water inlet valve. Dont know much about appliances but i hope this helps a little?

Thanks for your reply
Yeah,I think I’ll give the valve a shot
I’ve just ordered one so I’ll see how it goes. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that when testing the valves with a multimeter they look OK. I’m just hoping there is a fault with the valve or it’s £40 down the drain

Well, it wasn’t the inlet valves 🙁
I’m thinking the only thing now would be a control module which looks like the best part of 200 quid so might pass on that
Unless anyone has any ideas
