Tried to research this error in these pages but couldn’t find anything!

The washing side works fine but on dry cycle after a few minutes it comes up with E17. …. my gut feeling is the dryer ntc at the front of the ducting box or main pcb.
The valve is fine and the fan motor comes on for a few seconds then stops, no power getting to heater and reset stat is fine.

    Any ideas?

Inlet valve and possible main PCB.
Have had quite a few where you have to change them both as on their own they make no difference.
The dryer functions aren’t totally straight forward. When you put the dryer on the fan runs, valve energises and drum tumbles. Then the fan cuts out, and after a couple of minutes you will hear the PCB dryer relay kick in and the fan starts up again and the the element is powered.

Yeah, the first part is correct but the dryer motor and elements don’t power up, plus I didn’t hear any noises from any pcb relays?
SO am I looking at quoting for the main pcb and fill valve? would this fault have anything to do with the dryer ntc? They do go faulty with some weird errors sometimes?

The dryer fan motor and elements dont come on until about 3 mins after the dryer first starts, the fan motor starts initially then goes off quite quickly. If after about 5-7mins the dryer element aren’t heating then I would suggest you will have 240v both sides of the dryer element and the dryer will have lost its neutral on the PCB (something for which I have changed lots of the PCB’s for.)

Most times with E17 I have had to replace the PCB and inlet valve as a pair.
