ModeratorHave done a search and found similar problems but no real resolve to this one.
WVD24520GB08 washes fine but drier cuts out after about 7 minutes.
what happens is this:
Start dry cycle, fan runs briefly then stops, water valve energised and water flows, and have forward and reverse drum action.
After another couple of minutes, fan re starts and heater energised and pumps every minute or so.
I assume all this is normal behaviour.after about 7 minutes the heater and fan stop and just the drain pump runs for a few minutes and then even that stops, the display sticks on the remaining minutes left and that’s about it.
No error code and the door is still locked.
Heater, valve, fan all ok, condenser clear as far as I can tell, (how do you clean these anyway?)
Any suggestions welcomed. thanks for reading.July 5, 2013 at 6:06 am #397266timdowning

Yes top section of description is normal behaviour.
The bottom half of your description is generally caused by the hose at the bottom of the condenser becoming blocked. A very awkward hose to get to but can be done in situ. Swearing & plasters required!

Thanks Tim, must admit to there being less airflow from the fan then I would have expected so you could be right. Top end of condenser under the fan is clear and I have tried flushing water down the condenser which seems to flow through freely. Will have to get a fresh box of band aids then.July 5, 2013 at 6:58 am #397268jason1970

The condenser can be removed with the drum in situ but resealing the bottom hose is a pig and I wouldn’t advise it. I clean them out CAREFULLY with an old wire coat-hanger! You may not get every bit of fluff out but you’ll get most of it. I then pour a few jugs of water to wash the rest of the fluff out. Good luck!

finally got back to this one and had to bite the bullet and remove the condenser, lot of sharp edges and awkward screws but came off in the end and yes, blocked hard at the bottom. Not sure coat hangers would clear this one and no amount of water poured down the condenser even showed a blockage. Bottom hose even popped back into place easily on reassembly too. (needless to say, don’t try and remove it from the tub!) Only 2 years old this one so better get used to doing them.
thanks all for the help. -
