Bosch WVD2452SGB/01 steam from dispenser.

Bosch WVD2452SGB/01 washer drier. FD8707.

Initially not drying properly and steam coming from soap drawer. Found a failed condenser solenoid so fitted a new triple valve and removed fan and cleaned and flushed condenser in situ. Two weeks and fault returns. New valve had failed. :rolls: Fitted replacement and all seemed OK.
Customer then says the steam is still coming from the drawer. So after doing some research on here I went back and pulled the complete condenser unit out and cleaned it meticulously. Refitted and swapped the valve solenoid as a ‘belt and braces’ overhaul.
Customer rings back today and says that there was enough steam coming out to run down the front of the machine…..but the clothes were dried OK. Huh? 😕
I read there was a mod to the hose at the top of the condenser; the new hose had a ‘U’ shape to it…. well this hose is ‘U’ shaped so that’s not it.

Foxed!!!! 👿

Any help please – I don’t know what else I can do.

I can’t answer why the replacement valve has failed but I have had it where I fitted a universal triple valve which did the same as what yours is now doing. Is yours a genuine valve?

Yes – I fitted a generic one to start with but the problem was still there; then the customer ordered a BSH one off the net and I fitted that. Both valves give the same fault. I even swapped the condenser solenoid on the gen one to see if that made a difference……which it didn’t. 👿

The modified ‘hose’ between the small condenser box and the dispenser has a slightly different depth and shape to the original but not so’s much as it’s obvious. If the valves are operating correctly and the condenser is clear I’d say it’s worth a shot replacing it.
