ParticipantProblems on the dryer…..Set dry prog for 30 mins gentle heat and it works perfectly.
Set dryer to auto prog….works perfectly.
Set dryer 30 mins INTENSIVE heat and it freezes with exactly 23 mins remaining! the display is stuck on 23 mins the power light is on no drum rotation no heater or water intake.Turn the dial to off position and select prog again and it starts as normal. I have replaced the dryer module – no difference. I don’t know these well enough to be confident that the main module is the fault.

UPDATE!
Auto dry on intensive heat – Freezes after 7 mins (Same as manual setting on Intensive heat freezes after 7 minutes).
On test auto dry gentle heat …Works fine!

I’m thinking the reason for this is that to set an ‘Intensive’ drying cycle the dry time needs to be set at 40 minutes or more! (Minimum time 40 mins Maximum time 90 mins for Intensive) So I don’t think there’s a fault here. 😀

mmmm….will try that martin BUT….what about the auto dry fault on intensive?…Is that because it is more than 90 mins?

I’m only guessing TBH, it is an odd fault. Mind you most folks only set it on Auto anyway as they have no clue how much time each wash will take to dry otherwise. So to a greater extent the machine is fully operative anyway!
Try setting it on Intensive for 45 mins, see what happens?
If and when it stops…what is the NTC reading? Is the element, fan and valve still reading OK also at that point?

It could be a blocked condensor causing an overheat condition. I had very similar probs that took a couple of visits to suss out .
