    The Spanish washer dryer……..

Is there a recommended way to change the condenser housing on this beastie? It look like there is a fixing under the fan chamber which is almost completely inaccessible.

    Hello Chris,
Sorry to tell you its an absolute pig! Is it blocked?
If it is blocked, sometimes you can remove the fan and flush it from the top if your lucky otherwise you have to practically strip the thing to get it out as its one of the first things to go in during production.
A word of caution though…..The hose at the bottom between the tank and condenser has an insert, sometimes they can come out into the tank during repair and are almost impossible to refit without stripping it down.
I avoid them like the plague…….

    Hi Steve,
No, mounting brackets broke and Mr Bodger’s been……. I know who he is…… Anyway, the plastic housing is actually broken, so it’s got to come off. Was contemplating pulling the tank?

    Hi Chris
Really speaking its the only way to do a propper job by pulling the tank out, I have had quite a few with brackets broken.
Much better if you can uplift it and do it in a workshop, unfortunatly I have to do them all on site 😥
    Talking of ‘Mr Bodger’
We have a ‘Mr Bodger’ round this way and he’s a marked man, telling customers he’s manufacturer trained (not in the last 21 years we know of)
He charges customers and says he has to order parts and never comes back, he’s just stung a retired couple in their late 60’s for 350quid. 👿
    Steve 🙂
