    Bosch Washing Machine: WVG30461GB/02

Machine does not lock the door. I’ve tried fitting a new door lock but the fault remains.

Checked heating element, no issue and machine has inverter motor so no brushes.

Can anyone confirm that it’s the Main module at fault? #11014344

Juts checking I haven’t missed something simple?

    Cheers all.

Don’t think so. For both the customer, and then me to unknowingly accidentally engage the CL seems implausible.

The door did lock first use after fitting the new door lock and a program started. However, when I boxed up the machine a slid it back into position, the original fault came back and the new door lock wouldn’t lock again.

I presumed this was a board fault. Thinking maybe a pcb component revived itself after a few days of being unplugged and subsequently failed again.

Thing is, I had a back spasm whilst there and could hardly move, so my recollection is hazy. I’m still hunched over now!

    * And of course it was the type with 200 screws in the back, on old loose lino (dig-in) flooring.

Luckily the customer was out so she didn’t have to put up with my groaning and swearing!

    ow I know that injury

cushion floor an be a problem but wahing liquid or using screw drivers as rollers can help

I would check the board and look for blown caps

    Thanks Dave.

Yes, I’ll schedule a return visit and properly inspect the module/rule out CL.

    Cheers.
