The forum helped me last time to repair the main board on the same machine so I am hoping that there are some good suggestions again. I have ended up doing a bearing change and then a water heater element on the machine so I’m keen to get a bit more use from it.

The problem is the washer / dryer does not finish a spin and appears to get stuck with 1 min in the display. When it starts the spin cycle, it just carries on, without taking a pause like it used it.

By playing around, I found that if I blow in the pressure switch, it will advance the cycle, then I blow again and it advances again, then it will stop.

I’ve stripped out and cleaned the assembly from the water pump, the rubber manifold all the way up to the pressure switch. Everything looks fine 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} tight no air leaks.

I noticed a slight water leak on the other side of the drum (I think a port to expel moist air for dryer). I’ve just had the drum out again, to re-seat (used silicone to make sure) the rubber outlet with its plastic seal ring which had come loose. It is totally bone dry now at this connection.

But the machine still gets stuck on 1 min, never finished a spin cycle. Any suggestions please?

I’m just guessing because you’ve done a lot of messing with this machine. But my guess is that the pressure switch is registering full OK but not necessarily registering empty? If the machine thinks it still has water in then at the end of the entire cycle would time-out displaying 1 minute left. Faulty pressure switch.

Just a guess mind you. 😉

The drain pump kicks in fine and empties before the spin so there doesn’t seem to be much water in there.

How sensitive are the pressure switches. A fairly gentle blow advances it when it is stuck on spin. People seem to say they are the last thing to go wrong?

As I type I’m doing a wash with no spin to see what happens. Seems fine so far. and I just heard the pump kick in.
