Boschh Exxcel Tumbledryer just beeps and wont start

hi , can anyone help please, we are due to go on holliday tommorow and cant dry any clothes!

we have a boschh exxcel wte8630bgb tumble dryer, it has been workign fine for 2 years but now in the last couple of days it wont start, when i press start it just bleeps twice. no filter/condensate lights are on and all ‘looks’ normal, i have checked all filters and they seem ok….. and i have unplugged the dryer and replugged and tried it , to no avail, can anyone help please??

Sounds like a door lock problem . The double beep is normally a signal that the doors not shut. If you’re getting this signal and the door is definitely closed then its prob the door lock that has failed –

thanks , the door seems to be closing and locking as normal – is the door lock an expensive replacement, or whats the best course of action for me now? is there anything i can do/try or should i just wait for the engineer??
