Motor has stopped turing on machine. NOthing apparently wrong elsewhere.

Thought I’d check motor and brushes.

Does motor have to be removed to check brushes? Or is it easier done by removing motor?

How is motor removed? Assume know to unplug and remove back and belt to access.

    Cheers

as an engineer i fit brushes in situ. motor can be accessed from underneath by tilting machine back against a wall. one of the brushes is easy enugh but the other one is done more by feel.
you could take the motor out but this is not so easy as the bolts that hold it are not in the bnest place

you can find a parts breakdown of your machine here

parts can be got through this sites shop

As Dave says it can be done in situ. Personally I drop the motor out but there isn’t a right or wrong way
