ParticipantSorry have’nt got model no for this yet.As I’m a novice on dishwashers could somebody advise if there’s anything i should be looking at on this apart from obviously the heater.
I know it’s a little vague without the model.Allan.

heater or pcb, sometimes just dry joints on pcb but later ones are usually shot. Advise you visual check the pcb first as you dont need to pull the machine out. to meter the heater, rh side panel off.

Thanks eastimark, when you say shot do you mean visably blown? If so is there a cause of this or do the boards just fail on these ?
Allan.

As Mark says, it’s either the heater or the PCB. It’s best to inspect the PCB first for burnt heater relay terminals. Dry joints are visibly burnt and often can easily be cleaned up and resoldered.
If the PCB shows no sign of burnt terminals then you’ll need to pull out the m/c and check the heater.

Does the PCB recall only affect freestanding as opposed to integrated models?

had plentyof these with an obvious burnt joint on the heater relay but once re soldered still wont heat. hence shot. If the appliance comes out easy then the heater is the best thing to check.

Before you go checking PCB / heater , make sure its got enough water going into it ! In my experience – and let’s just say I’ve seen a fair few 😉 – low water levels due to blocked pressure chamber and hose are responsible for 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of all not heating faults.
There are integrated models affected by the recall but only the semi-integrated model I.e Those with the facia control panel on show. -
