client reported machine made a loud noise and took out rcd

client cleared /hair grip from drain pump tried once again and nothing happens.

My visit today

set on spin cycle, drain pump runs..12 mins timer runs down to 1 minute in less than 60 secs.

No drum rotation

tried water fill on 40 degree, water intake ok
no drum rotation

drasined machine, rotated drum by hand…clear mechanical noise there

I am wondering it the carbon brushes have worn, thus taking out RCD

wanted to see if this is the problem, before removing for inspection.

No flashing lights appear on LCD screen

any help welcome

X-ray eyes eh? Now that would be handy wouldn’t it? I’d go with your suspicions if I were you as I would think you are on the right track there. 😈

Sounds as if armature may have been damaged. Could be new motor needed. Maybe tried to spin whilst still full due to hairgrip.
