Brand new Hotpoint FFP187B not freezing properly

I have a week-old Hotpoint FFP187B Fridge /Freezer, but the top freezer shelf doesn’t freeze. The rest of the freezer seems to stay cold enough to keep food frozen, but the top shelf (should act as a fast freeze?) won’t even freeze a tray of ice cubes when left for 3 or 4 hours.
Fridge section works fine – have been running it at 3 or 4 on the dial (goes up to 5), and there are usually a few ice droplets on the back wall, especially at no4.
It’s in a non-draughty utility room (with a radiator) at around 15-20 deg ambient temp.
Never had this problem with my 16 year old Candy!

Any ideas?

get it exchanged and buy a proper fridge freezer while you still can

its probably short of gas…

and dont go for one of them horrid ff200x things… same machine, different doors…

look at OTHER machines
