    Hi all,

We’ve just bought a new Hotpoint WD440G washer/dryer and are having trouble with the drying times. We’ve experimented with drying towels and, even the full 3 hour drying cycle on high heat seems to leave the towels wet.

Has anyone else had esperience of this machine and similar problems?

    Thanks,
    Andy

    Hi
Just to eliminate, dont take it personally.
Have you made sure that the hot and cold water pipes are not reversed, as this will kill any drying operation of your machine.

It’s only a cold water feed.

A quick update, I tried just using the drying programme for two hours and that worked fine so it would only appear to be if you run a wash/dry programme straight after each other.

Also worth noting that the max wash load is 6 kg but the max wash & dry load is listed as 5 kg. To be honest even that will be a bit of a struggle, you might find that if you load to two thirds capacity it may perform better. Washer/dryers are at best a compromise and will never perform as well as a stand alone tumble dryer.

    Jim.
