OK here goes, recently moved my fridge freezer Brandt Apollo Model number CFA311WU and it stopped working I.E. not getting cold, compressor still running and lights still on, it seemed to be ok apart from it not getting cold. Had a friend who is a commercial fridge/freezer engineer to check it out and the R600a gas (isobutane) is fine and the levels check out ok for pressure -10 something or other. Left it unplugged for a week to see if the problem was down to it needing defrosting but still the same problem exists. Can anybody give me any ideas as to what the problem may be. BTW got a new replacement thanks to the insurance company but I’m a bit reluctant to throw this one away as its a good size for my needs.

    Thanks in advance

When you say you moved it recently, was it on it’s side for any length of time.
As sometimes this can cause a blockage which could give the symptoms
    you have stated.

If this is the case then the only real remedy is to vac out and flush the system and fit a new filter dryer and regas. That is provided the compressor is ok, but I would have thought that your friend would have suggested this.

The Fridge/Freezer has been stood vertically all the time its been moved. It was also plugged in when it was being moved about.

    Thanks in advance.
