I have a Brandt CFB270WU frost free fridge freezer. The freezer is fine but the fridge won’t cool properly because the middle, lower part of the back panel is very warm. The rest of the back panel, especially the top is cold with water / ice droplets. The drain is not blocked. Any ideas? Why should there be a warm spot on the back panel??

Is the motor (compressor) running constantly ?

If it is, it may be a system problem, compressor failure, refrigerant shortage or an insulation problem, these units are also prone to PCB failure which can give odd faults.

Best bet is ask an engineer to be honest to make proper diagnosis for you, check Repairs@ for one 🙂

    Dave.
