ParticipantHi,
I am going to this unit soon. I have no model number.
The problem is that non of the rings work. This ocured suddenly.
It is the type that does not have regulators but + & – symbols on the
ceramic top which are touched to increase or decrease heat.Is this an induction type. I have no experience on these so is there any
common faults I should be aware of.Any pointers would be helpful.
Thanks
Laurence

not sure if this induction, but i had one once with two rings suddenly stopped working.it was just a poor connection in the main switch on the wall.the flex had two lives and two neutrals.no go faults are usually simple to find.

Thanks for responding bz but I forgot to mention that the customer said a red light comes on and beeps on the top when a pan is put on it. 😳
So there seems to be supply to the hob – but all things are worth checking.
Thanks again

ParticipantThe only thing that I have had similar to this ended up being a neutral fault on the terminal block. I’d love to hear how you get on with this! 🙂

depends how old it is if this appeared suddenly and she has used this pan before then there is a fault.if it is an induction hob and she has just got this pan it may not be compatable with induction hobs. if a neon is coming on she has supply check links in term box on hob can knock rings off.
good luck chris.
