ParticipantHi I have the above model fridge/freezer tha has the PCB problem I have seen in other posts after a search on here.
The guy I have had out to it seems to be giving me the runaround.
So I was looking at trying to fix it myself need to know the availability of the PCB price and how to fit if possible.December 13, 2007 at 7:09 am #236971tradesman

The repairer that came diagnosed a new control module that was 10 days ago and we are still waiting.
The fridge light comes on but no motor noise at all now, it was possible two weeks ago to turn the unit off then on again to get the motor running but that does not work now.December 13, 2007 at 11:48 am #236974helo_75
Participantassuming the pcb is at the top of the machine, at the front, the part number is 43×9136

Already heard from shop, unit not a stock item 3 to 5 days delivery was hoping to have a fridge/freezer for xmas but seems unlikly now.
A little guidence on how to access the PCB would be handy the controls are at the top of the fridge when you open the door (do’nt want to damage anything by forcing)December 14, 2007 at 11:46 am #236978tradesman
ParticipantRe: Brandt mod CFB360WU
OK I have been looking at gaining access to the PCB and it looks to me as though the fridge door has to be removed to get access to it, is that correct or not?

I have brandt model CFA 361xu, which has worked brilliantly again since defrosting late July – lsitting at -20celcius.
But… last w/e all the house power circuit fused – and the brandt no longer works at all except interior light – so may need to try a new PCB too – sounds like a similar problem.unibabe

Sorry chaps don’t do much in the way of refrigeration, so missed this. If you haven’t ordered yet, unibabe, contact spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk with the 43×9136 part number for a competative quote.
Good luck,

Thanks,
Hubby has finally looked at the PCB and has bypassed the relay switch (?) so compressor is working again – and in the interim will run it on a timer switch, as he is appalled to pay £40 for something that costs pennies to make, but he wants to keep the devil fridge freezer we know than splash out more money that we haven’t got on another mass market consumer item with a lifespan of one day more than the guaranteed period.thanks very much re contact for PCB…will follow it up at some point.

UPDATE
Recieved & fitted the new board yesterday afternoon left the unit working overnight (just to be sure) this morning fridge & freezer working as normal 😀
Should have done this sooner instead of depending on nomarks.Well worth the £80 cost of a new PCB.

Ok fridge & freezer seem to be working ok now, just one thing that’s a little worrying we now get a buildup of frost on the back wall of the fridge that did’nt happen before is this a normal thing with this model or has another fault developed.
I know it’s christmas and there maybe no one posting just now but thought I’d give it a shot.Merry christmas & happy new year to all.
