ParticipantWe have what may be a Brandt dishwasher, purchased 18 months ago (out of warranty) from The Kitchen Studio (gone bust anyway) as part of our new kitchen. It has been fine until the other day when the top spray arm fell part. Easy, ordered one from Partsmaster and fitted no problem. Now it doesn’t always empty after a full wash cycle. It empties the wash water away, but the final rinse seems to stay in the bottom. I have also noticed that the End Of Cycle light no longer illuminates. The problem I have is two fold:
i.) I have no instruction manual and haven’t been able to find one on the web, that is how I found this site 😀
ii.) I don’t know what is wrong with it, though suspect the powerboard as I found a wiring diagram in the base of the unit.
Any suggestions, or can anyone help?

Then about a week and a half ago the top spray arm fell off, basically due to the plastic wearing through. So I bought a new one, turned the power off and fitted it. Turned it back on, ran a cycle all okay, until the end that was. The dishwasher performs perfectly, but does not empty the water from the final rinse. All other water is emptied at the right points throughout the cycle, but the final rinse just stays in the bottom of the dishwasher. We can empty it by starting a new cycle, and then turn it off before it fills again. The only other thing that it has started that wasn’t happening before is that the pump seems to make a humming noise every now and then during the wash cycle.
Rolling EyesDoes anybody have any suggestions as to what the problem may be? Is ity possible to repair by DIY? I have a feeling it may be the powerboard, but then again I don’t want to buy one if it’s something else.
The other major problem is that we can’t find the manual for it anywhere, not even on the web at the moment.
Can somebody please help?
Hi, can you please keep it to one thread per problem, thanks. 😉

AQ9MBTGBA doesn’t mean anything at all that I can find. 😕
Is there a rating plate on the door, there should be, that may shed a little light on what it actually is? Failing that can you take some pictures to help us?
Without knowing at least who made it and what model it is help is going to be scarce. 🙁

Oops sorry about posting twice thing. The number in the heading above is what appears to be the model number. If I enter this on the Partmaster website it calls it a Brandt, and that model number. It also lists pages of spares, and all the parts appear to be as fitted to my unit. The other numbers on the label are:
02-300472
AQ9MBTGBA
DWA 15431313012
04 27 00444It is 2150-2300 Watts and manufactured in France. It was bought from the Bernstein Group (Kitchen Studio), who have gone bust.
It has Intensive, Normal, Bio, On/Off, and Start/Cancel buttons along the top edge when you open the door. Plus 4 LED’s, Salt, Rinse, End, Wash in Progress. The End LED no longer illuminates.
Many Thanks for the reply, and again apologies for the extra post on the same topic.
Thanks,
Nigel

Hi,
02-300472 is the model number and it was sold as a White Westinghouse, service by Caremark which were indeed Bernstein which went bust. It is a Brandt though, an Atlantis range dishwasher, so at least spares are easy enough to get (maybe) if not cheap.
I’d check all other possibilities first before replacing the card. Pressure switch, drainage, side chamber and pump as well as for any general blockages or restrictions.
The card is part number 32X0716, ~£48 excl. VAT/carriage and is NO STOCK in the UK which, knowing Brandt as I do, will likely mean at least a two week wait for it. 😕
If you need the part just drop an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
Hope that helps

Many thanks for the tips. There do not seem to be any restrictions or blockages, as these are the first things that I went for. As for the other things, I am not sure how to check them, do you have any handy hints?
Again, many thanks for the help.
