ParticipantThis dishwasher is going through the cycle but not heating. There are no error flashes. (That I am aware of.)
I checked the heater and that is ok. Theres a module in front of the heater which I popped off to check the relay. All ok.
I couldn’t see an overheat stat anywhere. Is is just the NTC and heater on this model?
This model is the one with the clunky push switches. I managed to get the machine on its test cycle by pushing the start button 5 times. Its fine up until the heating part, circulation is fine. The test didn’t seem to advance past this stage even with pushing the start button a number of times.
Help please…

Hi Tim,
the machine is fitted with 2 door microswitches, one to confirm the door is closed to the PCB the other is in series with the heater. Thisis worth checking first. (left hand door lock viewed from front)
If you require any more info please let me know.

Thanks for reply.
Mmm, this could be tricky. Having thought I’d checked everything thoroughly its not really possible to go back to check the door without looking like I have diagnosed wrongly.
So for now lets assume the door switch is ok, with the symptoms I’ve given does it seem like a board fault to you?
Is there a cut-out or just NTC and heater? Thanks.

Hi Tim,
My first port of call would still be the door switch. the heater is fitted with a TOC and limiter but they are not a common fainure on this type of heater. As with all machines the PCB can be at fault but i suspect not in this case.
I will email a wiring diagram for you to check.
hope this helps

Well, the customers been using it for a week and all seems ok. Shes used it everyday since Ive been and is happy its now heating.
You can’t beat a bit of ‘Professional’ poking & tightening. 😉
Thanks Ben–nevis for your assistance.

Well this ones back to haunt me, machine worked fine up until the 23rd of December.
Ive been back today to check the door switch as suggested, but this machine only has one fitted. The door lock has a space on the left for another switch but its empty.
Im going to have to assume its the heater relay playing up as the heater is still testing ok.
Does anyone have the part number for the module and also the number for the temp probe?
Thanks.
