We have a Britannia Cooker Hood model P780 – 70A, it is 7 years old. The lights and fan do not work. When I press the light switch I hear a click (I assume the relay) but nothing happens. When I press the fan switch I hear continual clicks, and if I try and increase the speed then the frequency of the clicks changes. Note the fan speed readout on the display (1,2,3, 4) works OK.

I was thinking I might need to replace the electronic board. But thought I should check with you to see if that is correct ?

thanks in advance for your help.

I think it’s a lot older than you believe but it does sound like the board has gone and it’s this one used in that hood:

the very fact you can hear clicks means the board is reponding but not letting the power through

i would turn the board over and check for blown tracks
