    Hello.
i have a Britannia S1-9T dual oven cooker and spent yesterday afternoon trying to access the hinge guide runners. It seems that these need to accessed from underneath but removing the panels proved extremely difficult without damage.

    Any advice please?

    Hi Ian

i have sam issue with my cooker – just phoned Britannia and all they can do is to sell me the new parts (SP-IA46804) and no advise can be given. Have mailed the chap on this forum who has managed to do it according to his post below hoping he can answer and if he does I can forward it to you.

Otherwise i hope someone on this forum can help

    The part is…

Normally, side panels off or from underneath is the only way to get to them.

Thanks Kwatt, will post when done, for this one looks like underneath is the way. Great to see the company that cares and does not to push with £250 engineer visit when all i need is a simple advice. Perhaps a short video how to do it should be made…hm an idea how to get two young kids involved with DIY maybe; well at least they can prove why they need 20MEG camera on their phones 🙂

    Re: Britannia Cooker hinge runner

Now as it school time, kids are off the hook ;( but managed to get into the cooker body and changed both hinge runners on the larger oven:
    1. simply unscrew 6 (i only did 5 so plate is still hanging in there on the last screw) self tapping screws on the larger metal plate between two ovens and two on the left side
    2. remove old runner by a) slightly move vertical metal plates to the side in prize part out and replace
    3. CAUSION!!! the side one is far more difficult, push plate backwards and take great care not to drop the new part into the void between body and warmer plate body as I did, use stiff wire/hanger to hold in place.

I took pics but this forum does not allow for them so will add link to cloud storage in next post. Now need to clean the bugger too…
