    The lights on my Britannia Legato D10 cooker hood have stopped working. The motor still works as normal on all speeds.when the lights worked they did make a humming noise which is no longer present either.

    it is not easy to diagnose accurately but

    the hum would be a transformer as I am assuming the lamps are a 12 volt halogen

    therefore it could be

    1 the transformer
    2 the switch
    3 the lamps

    Thanks for your reply Dave. I think the most likely might be the transformer as when the unit was initially powered up from the isolator it would buzz and flash the lights momentarily,it doesn’t do this anymore either. Thanks again.

    dont assume if the power is not getting to the transformer it will give the same result
