just had a call from a customer today where they require another fan element for their range (18 months after the last time)
but they arent paying britannia another £200+ to fix it if they can help it.
on the old receipt the element was a 45834 and britannia charged him 55+vat for the element
its listed on connect but at an extortionate rate(102+vat) so someone is making a huge markup… and its not gonna be me, and after the last time i ordered a britannia part from connect it took nearly 6 weeks, but there wasnt any alternative cos it was a dual circuit grill element.
now i remember reading somewhere that some brit ranges will accept a zanussi element but before i go out to it, and before i offer it to the customer as an option, does anyone know if there is an equiv spec zanussi element because if there is i cant see that failing any sooner than a £125 element….
