Britannia range fan element

The element around the fan in my main oven has died. Looked at the DIY job – looked straight forward. Ordered the heating element – ready to go! The only problem (at the final hurdle) it appears that the current element is screwed in from the back (is screw threads coming into the oven. My expectation (and the appearance of the replacement) was that the element would be held in place with screws from inside the oven. Have I got the wrong part, and do I really have to take out the whole range just to do this??

Any help would be most appreciated.

yes

unfortunately some manufacurers do not take into account future repairs when they design appliances
