Britannia Range SI- 9TF- SS main oven tripping electrics

Hi, looking for some advice please?! Half way through dinner and the main oven on our cooker trips the electrics. Re set the electrics and the oven is tripping on every setting we try it on. Have put the dial back on 0 and used the second oven without any problems to finish dinner. The minute we try and select anything on the main oven though, even with temperature off it trips. Any ideas on what might be wrong would be greatly appreciated! I would try the oven element first

try disconnecting it, make the wires safe and see if it trips or use a multi meter to see if it has an earth fault

don’t forget to turn off before working on it
