Broken door on hotpoint

Hi all I wonder if anyone would be able to offer any help – my hotpoint WML730P(UK)R stopped spinning 7 months ago – after watching some tutorials I successfully changed the carbon brushes – yesterday this happened again full of washing but the door would not open so I couldn’t get the washing out – I tried many things and the only thing that worked was putting the string round the door and pulling – so I have changed the brushes again today – finished the spin it was stuck on – at the end of the spin the door clicked as it should but again the door would not open – so I had to use the string trick again only this time it has broken a plastic piece of clip off the inside door catch – can anyone advise if this can be fixed ? If not I’ll have to buy a new washer tomorrow

Hopefully the brushes didn’t really need changing.;)

Hi, I got the replacement door kit. It’s now fitted and all is working again, hopefully the new brushes will help it last longer too 😀
