Here is the problem with my oven. The fan turns on and the digital display is completely normal but there is no heat. My grill works but only on the maximum setting of 5.

My oven is a whirlpool generation 2000+

    type: FCWM6

    Mod: G2P62F/SS

What could the problem be and will it be costly?

    Thanks Boffins

It’s most likely just the fan element that’s gone on it.

The cheapest option is this one

However, with the grill issue it’s a whole other ball game, especially on a digitally controlled one. 😕

To look more I’d need the 12NC number off the rating plate.

The oven and the grill both broke at the same time so It could be part of the same problem? The only other information i could find was these numbers:

    854183815020

    140412034895

They are both next to barcodes i thought it was just retail gibberish. Thanks for the help so far.

Re: Broken Oven but the Grill Works.

    It’s the top one. 😉

I thought as much, it’s an electronically controlled one using a temperature probe.

The main power board, which does a lot, is upwards of £120. The sensor, £50 plus and the control unit about £80.

All plus VAT so I’d advice that it’s not worth guessing at but my guess would be the control module.

    Thanks for the help.

I might get somone to have a gander at it but i would like to take a hammer and smash the thing to bits. It’s only 3 years old and was slow at heating up and cooking for a fan assisted oven. I wouldn’t suggest this model to anyone.
