Wishbone, AWI have them, is this the baby you’re after ?

It only mentions the 0.3mfd though 😕

They’ve got the description wrong I think, yours is 0.55 and 0.30 they just forgot to mention the 0.55 bit 😉

Fairly sure the AWI capacitor doesn`t have the internal diode and from memory its not an exact fit in the original bracket. I used to order these direct from Brother in Manchester (about 10 years ago). Do they still exist ❓

I have a service manual for the MFG1400 combi microwave. It gives the part number of the capacitor as 235472001. It gives their phone number as 0161 931 2258

By pure coincidence AWI phoned me this morning to ask why I hadn’t ordered anything from them since 2002 😆
I can confirm the link I gave is the wrong capacitor, their picture is wrong.
They are going to check and get back to me on the one you want wishbone 🙂

……they did 😀
They can supply a 0.28/0.49 mfd (no internal diode) still but not the exact one you need, their part number CP20 @ £12 plus carriage/vat.
It will mean slightly reduced power on defrost and full power modes but will work.

Thanks for all your help.
does anyone know if i could use a 2 terminal .85mfd capacitor with a seperate diode, as i have these, on the 3 terminal capacitor only 2 connections are used, the 3rd one just linking the two together…..August 19, 2005 at 5:57 pm #145230admin

I’ve got an original cap, bit rusty looking, been in the garage for 10 years as I used to have the Brother Micro way back then.
Will check it out with the meggar after my tea and post if its a goer or not.

Although it looks the PITS this cap tests perfect, guess they don’t make em like that anymore.
Let me have an address and I’ll donate it to you.
