Well spotted helo. Looking at his feedback profile, I see that he bought it from someone else in May but that listing is no longer available, presumably over 90 days old. Intriguing.
Oh well, I just thought if there was someone in that area.
I bought a secondhand heater element on ebay the other day for a pittance. It got me out of a situation where I wouldn’t have been able to get the new part on time without putting in a minimal order and paying a carriage charge. Result – one very happy customer, (fully aware that element was s/h.)

That is one advantage of taking in machines for spares / recon, you do accumulate a range of secondhand parts. This means you can offer a more cost effective alternative to new parts and the customer gets the appliance back in action quicker. About 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the replacement motors I fit are used ones. They do take up space though, in my case they are in the workshop, 2 garden sheds and also stuff in the house loft. I try to keep the garage as an appliance free zone. 😆

It’s such a tiny photo it is not easy to see what it is but remember that these washer dryers do have the concrete block on top and the heater box next to it.

The last time I fitted a brand new motor was about 18 months ago. I’ve got it back in stock now because the machine was terminated after a further year. (Gave ’em a partial refund as it was friends). Funny how many jobs I go to where I’m told that a previous engineer had fitted a new motor/ timer/ module or some other expensive part but I can find no sign of such a thing. 😕
