I’ve just had a delivery from BSH and a PC Board they sent me (in it’s own opened Jiffy bag) is an old burnt out PC Board. π―
Also in that Jiffy bag was an old push button switch from the same machine.
I can only assume a BSH engineer has quit his job and BSH have put his old van stock back into stock without checking if old parts were still on his van maybe?
Has anyone else experienced receiving old/used parts from BSH I wonder? π
I have had a dishwasher heater in an iffy box and although not used, it looks like it had been rolling around out of its box in a van for a few months. Turns out it was even the wrong part number to that which it said on the box and needed the thermostat from the old heater to replace the NTC to get it to work correctly on the model it was ordered for. Not what I would have expected from such a company as BSH.
i think there is an old posting on this issue, its been happening for years i have opened a few modules only to find it covered in carbon dust and cut bag ties inside, not to mention paper with spanish, german instructions.
Yes I received a module for a fridge freezer, open and obviously fitted and used which I sent back about three months ago.
Have just fitted all the other parts with open packaging.
Itβs happened to me a few times (even compressors), but much less in the last year or so. π³
The correct procedure is to rip the part number label off the box to prevent the part being restocked.
Believe me any BSH engineer who was found to have failed to this will have his arse kicked, not least by the other engineers. π
