Participanthi guys have to look at a hotpoint dishwasher dwf50s their is a burning smell coming from it. any known fault to look out for thanks fasetester 🙂

thanks martin for your reply. the husband said he does not think it is washing you can here a clicking sound and then the get the burning smell. possible jammed motor. if the washer pump bearing are gone . or a leaking shaft seal can any of the two be replaced thanks fasetester 🙂

if you are getting a burning smell when it should be washing then its fairly certain the motor is knacked.

I am not sure with regard to the motor seal kit I am looking at the same info as you and yes a blocked pressure system would bring the element on .

The motor and circulating pump housing are sold seperately. The heater is the through type flow control therefore if the motor doesn’t work then the heater doesn’t come on.
Enough on the speculation and best you call by and check it out eh? 8)

hi guys went to check it out. when trying to set program nothing would only light the 50 ligh on the left hand side. disconnected and removed base washer motor was badly rusted. and base plate motor smelt if it was
frying it was leaking down into motor said she had it over six years and would go for new dishwasher fasetester.
