I have been asked to look at a Bush dual fuel range the problem is the 8 burners, right side four all ignite and stay lit on release but the left side four ignite but don’t stay lit on release.
I have checked all contacts and found none loose or dirty and no sign of over heated or burned wires although i havent checked circuit with a multi meter as i did not have it with me.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

That looks to be a Termikel made one so, pretty much, there’s no support for them.

Sounds like a thermocouple problem though.

Yes but for all four to stop points to an electrical feed problem or first inline switch problem maybe ?
    Thank you for your reply!

As the top is gas you will need a gas safe engineer to inspect or change any part, only thing I can tell you is to pull a control know off 1 that isn’t staying light and try lightning it with control know off

I used to work for Flaval Leisure building gas fires and cookers, safety first!
    Thanks

    does sound odd though

most gas cookers have seperate thermo couples for each burner so the chance of all 4 going at once is very low indeed. Unless they failed one by one over time and they have not said so

i would try the knob off trick. may be mechanical stopping the knob going in far enough to hit the lock point
