Bush BFFF60C Fridge not cooling but Freezer OK

The fridge section of our fridge freezer appear to have stopped cooling properly.
The freezer is working fine at -18C but the fridge is struggling to get below 6C when empty and the thermostat is on 5.
I have inspected the evaporator. The fan is running fine. The lower section of the evaporator coil and the drain were frosted up. I have defrosted them.
Cool air is coming into the fridge. The condensor is running and is warm (not hot).
When I rotate the thermostat I cannot hear any relays clicking, but my hearing isn’t good so that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening
I’ve checked the fridge thermistor and it was 3kohm at around ambient (17-18C). I warmed it up with a hair dryer and the resistance started dropping. At 2kohm I placed a bag of frozen peas on it and the resistance climbed.
I’m left thinking that the problem is probably the Fridge Freezer Control Module (20BD01-6) https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/32023374-fridge-freezer-control-module

Is there anything else I should be checking to make sure?

I did try to buzz out the control module but I don’t have any schematics so I’ve given up trying to work out the circuit from the tracks and devices.

air needs to get in and out of the fridge. with the door open you may feel air getting in but if the return air duct is blocked it wont cool down

When I had the thermistor out I did check the return vent. Couldn’t see any obvious blockage. Got the fridge down to 1C with most of the contents removed.

Loaded two shelves taking care not to crowd the vents. Checked and the temp had climbed to 13C while I was loading the shelves. It’s currently on a really slow descent at 10C (so only a 3C drop in an hour).

the lower it get the slower it is. they cant let tons of -18 air into a fridge otherwise the items nearest the input get frozen.

all the food in there contains heat which has to be removed so the more thats in there the longer it takes

as long as the temp in the end is averaging correctly. also dont forget the more the door is open the longer it takes as well

if the return air duct is blocked it will be at the back of the freezer

Thanks again Dave. That makes sense to me. I check the temp this morning and it was around -1C to 3C so it looks like it needed time to stabilise and I was just being impatient. Hopefully the defrost on the evaporator and the drain will have done the trick. Probably caused by Mrs overloading the fridge and restricting the airflow. Seems to be running well now.
