ParticipantHi guys
Message from a customer just before Christmas to say they’ve got their CTFS60DBLECB stuck in shop mode.
Does anyone know the reset procedure?
Thanks

Moderatorwell its Vestel built. service info is on ASWO
does not mention a demo mode. does mention a key lock but does not seem to say how to take it on and off
but
there are over 15 models with the same model no, would need the serial no to look it up to see if the correct one differs in any wayalso cant see this having a demo mode as there would have to be full electronic control for the hob and this uses regulators
have they tried turning it off for 10 mins and then reset clock when they turn it on ?

ModeratorThis cooker has a 3 button timer, there is an option of “dur” in the instructions on pages 25 and 26 which relates to cooking timer on and duration I’m guessing it is in this mode. There isn’t anything else I can find which relates to demo.
Link for instructions https://documents.4rgos.it/v1/static/4496713_R_D001 Gives you a start anyway.

ParticipantSpoken to the customer, definitely displaying “SHOP” on the display – hob still works.
Asked for the serial number but not forthcoming. Obviously, the Bush/Argos helpline has been a waste of time.

Moderatorsounds a bit odd
can understand shop mode but shop mode where you can still turn on the hob makes no sense at allchange the timer it will probably be ok as i cant see any other components causing it (£20 on ASWO)
or bridge the timer relay

ParticipantCheers Dave, obviously she’s wanting it sorting for Christmas and I’m away at the moment.
Seems like it’s a standard Vestel timer used on their integrated ovens. Looks to be the same as Servis branded, just this time free standing. No procedure in their service manual either!

Yeah she’s tried that. Tried the various fixes I’ve sent too.
New timer it is, but I suspect she’ll try and get a new cooker delivered tomorrow in time for Christmas.

Moderatorand probably buy another Bush

if you were not away you could have bridged it. Most people dont use the timer anyway

ParticipantI don’t know if this is the correct set of instructions but google suggests that you should try the following:
Turn off at wall
Wait 10 seconds
Turn on at wall
Within 1 minute of power on press both the “Mode” and “-” buttons together for 5 secondsJem
