bush dishwasher wqp12-9348 my dishwasher will not empty.

Fairly certain its the pump that’s failed, as there is no noise of it trying to work when I start the dishwasher.

I’ve ordered a new pump, but I was hoping I was going to be able to replace it with the dishwasher is situ, as I’ve seen some videos of dishwashers where you can. But I’m now thinking this particular model required you to completely uninstall the dishwasher and flip it upside down to access. Can anyone confirm if this is the case with this model?

    many thanks

chances are its a piece of glass or crockery and does not need a new pump

can confirm access details but i would not turn it upside down. its a recipe for the water to end up in the electronics

How would I remove said piece of glass or crockery? it doesn’t sound like the pump is trying to work.
I have already ordered the new pump as it was only 28 quid and I need to get it up and running again.
Do you know how I would establish how to access the pump?

if the pump is jammed it will make a slight hum but that is all

you need to find the pump and strip it to check

that was sort of my original question. can anyone confirm how to get at the pump on this model of dishwasher. I can obviously see the outlet from inside the dishwasher.
But am hoping to confirm if I need to access the bottom of the machine to get at it. or if it should be able to accessed from the front.
I appreciate your replies, I just need to know how to access the pump. I can’t check any of your suggestions until I can get at it.
    Thanks

Drain all water out and put towel in sump ie remove filter , disconnect appliance from electrics and water tip it back wards on to its back there might be a base plate held with 4 screw remove it should then see the small outlet pump , might be a push and twist or screwed in place remove pump check for glass ( if you see red you cut your finger on it ) when removing pump might be some water so try not to get it on electrics ,

Replaced the pump, and its working, because if I tip water in the dishwasher, and shut the door, it draws the water out. But Dishwasher is displaying an E4 error and beeping. Will not allow me to select a program.
Manual says E4 error is “too much inlet water” not sure how “too much” inlet water is possible. any suggestions???

normally the pump will not start unless you set a programme

    so

there is a float in the base. is it in the correct position and dry ?

sorted it, we’d reattached the float switch incorrectly, so it was permanently on.
All work now, thanks for all the advice
