Got to replace a belt on one of these washing machines.
Looks like it’s not going to be an easy job.
No removable back panel, limited space between pulley / back panel and a stretch belt.
Watched some guy on YouTube who zip tied the belt to the pulley whilst the machine is laid on its front but knowing how much the belt needs to be stretched I’m very pessimistic.
    We shall see.
    Any tips?

dont thing i like the idea of turning the machine over

the old hotpoint WMA series was similar
there were engineers out there who used to use zip ties to put the belt on

my way of doing it was hook belt on the motor. there was just enough room to get your hand down and hold the belt towards the inner part of the pulley then with the other hand put your arm inside the drum and use the drum as a lever to roll the belt on. you have to be careful your fingers are not through the pulley and be aware of what will happen if the belt slips off while trying to get it on. Also never use somebody else to turn the drum so your in total control

Done quite a few belt replacements on WMA’s without too much trouble.
But on this Bush there’s a lot less room to get your hands in.

Yeah 8/10/12 kg machines with faster spins necessitating larger stabilising weights making them much heavier to manhandle and also less room to work in.
Glad I’m coming to the end of my appliance repair days!
    Cheers.
