I recall the other day on the subject of gunged up Bosch dishwasher drain/fill matrix. In particular the air vent plunger that sits at the top of the matrix and is impossible to access to clean.

Well, as it happens I had a gunged up Bosch today with a nosey parker customer breathing down my neck all the while I was wrestling with a gunged up pressure chamber. When she spotted the gunge (like one does) she pipes up….“I know what’ll shift that!”….and then produces a bottle of this stuff……………

I’ve never heard of it before but I squirted a shot of it down the open end of the matrix whilst it lay on it’s side. My customer suggested I leave it for a few minutes then rinse it out with warm water. Sure enough, after I’d cleaned the pressure chamber and transfer hose and was ready to fit the matrix back, I flushed a pint or so of warm water in through the hole…..

BL**DY MAGIC.. came up clean as a whistle and thought I’d pass the tip on to you guys. 😀

I need to buy a bottle of the stuff (Domestos Grot Buster)next time I’m in Tesco methinks. 💡

Funny you should post that Martin. I had a customer today that was telling me he use’s this stuff for cleaning his car . I thought at first that he had written on the label with a marker pen but it is a genuine product as he said he used to deal with them in his job…..

Does exactly what it says on the tin ( bottle )

That grot buster is great stuff, I’ve been using it for a while on allsorts. Not for that use though.

It actually does do what it says it does.
