ParticipantI am looking to buy a ceiling extractor to go above an island in my kitchen. I would appreciate any advice you can give me. Elica looks really good but too expensive for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated Thank you.

Hi
Any ceiling hood worth putting up will be costly.Pando Cooker hoods are good and reliable..
They must also be ducted to the outside or your wasting your money as it’ll be cosmetic use only.Bryan

Hi Bryan
Thank you for the information, much appreciated. I will definitely look into the Pando hood. It will definitely be ducted to the outside. Would you say that Pando is better than Elica or about the same. Thanks KevJanuary 1, 2017 at 10:04 pm #444125admin

Pando far superior in every way. They are actually hand built and tested right along the production line and full test carried out just before they are boxed up and it is a 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} test on all functions.
Reliability is second to none.

Hello again Bryan, I have checked out Pando extractors, they do look really good, however, all the ones I can see on very large for our kitchen. Do you have any idea of whether they do a smaller version i.e. 100 x 60 or less
Your help is much appreciated

Hello Bryan
Thanks for your advice. We are having a new kitchen fitted later this month, so have no pictures to send you. When completed it will be approximately 2000 cu ft. In view of what you have said do you think an island hood will be a better option / more efficient. Your expertise would be appreciated Cheers KevinJanuary 2, 2017 at 8:07 pm #444128admin

Hi Kevin
If you are having it fitted next month then you need to start planning this before they start. Do you have the kitchen drawings ?
Or you can call me on 0844 504 8326 during office hours and if i’m in I can talk you through your needs. If i’m not in I can call you back.

Hello Bryan, just picked up your message otherwise I would have replied earlier. If you can send me your email address, I will send you the kitchen plan. After that I will call you, if you don’t mind. Many thanks. Kevin

Broan 505 seems to be a really good one. They might have other models which might suit your setup a lot better.
