buying a new integrated washing machine – advice please.

Hi

Our old washing machine has finally packed in so its time to buy a new one.
The new washing machine has to be integrated.
We do something like 2-3 washes a week on average.
The machine is to wash for 2 people.
We do try to dry line when possible.
The machine will sit on a concrete floor.
It would be great if the machine has a delay timer and cold water fill.

We would like to spent between £200-£300 if possible.

Any advice will be really appreciated, thanks for you time.

Budget is far too low. You need to think in terms of at least £400, no pun intended. This will put you into Electrolux territory. Another £50 and you start to get SMEG and Bosch/Neff – quality stuff IMO, with decent warranties.

Forgetting about things like Indesit, Servis and all those other budget brands here is what I would recommend to our customers.

Gorenje WI63113, Sloveninan manufactrurer which has been in the UK for about the last ten years, they are the fastest growing supplier of appliances in Europe at the moment. Normally found only in the independant sector, service if needed is provided by a network of repairers, the washer comes with a two year warranty .

Electrolux EWG12450 or the Zanussi ZWI2125 they may come with different features but are from the same stable, good all round solid products whivh come with a one year warranty backed up with a nationwide service.

Neff W5420X0GB German spec machine built to a higher standard. From the same stable as Bosch and Siemens but have a slightly better spec and for slightly less price. They have a two year warranty again backed up by natiowide service. This machine would be my choice if I were buying one and also what I would recommend to our customers.
