ParticipantHi,
I am looking to replace my Whirlpool ARC 7050, which is giving me problems. We have only had this for 6 years and its gone (well the freezer part is working). We were quoted about £279.00 by an whirlpool engineer to supply and fit the parts required.
Until the freezer conks out, it is going in my garage as a spare freezer.
So I have decied to put some more money in and purchase an New fridge/freezer. I was hoping if anybody could advise me on what is a good buy.
I am looking to spend upto £350.00, same or similar size, due to our kitchen, the maximum width we are looking at is 60cm or about 2feet. Height around 190cm.
Any advise would be helpful.
Thanks.

Hi Jas
Three to consider in that price range,my order of preferance taking into consideration the build quality, flexibility of the interior and aftercare would be the Liebherr CUP2721 then the Bosch KGH39V03 and lastly the Electroulux ENB32000 all the brands have nationwide service should it be required.

Thank you very much for your reply Don.
I shall have a look at them later today. We are planning on going on a FF hunt all day tommorow, John Lewis is first choice, as most of our appliances/electronics are from there.
I was also looking at the BOSCH.
I am also considering the following
Zanussi ZNB343W

Hotpoint FFB6200AP
http://www.johnlewis.com/230485854/Product.aspxThese are quite largish FF’s which will fit the space in our kitchen.
I shall check out some more aswell.
Our last Indesit FF lasted my parents 27 years without any problems, when it went, it just stopped working altogether. But 27 years, thats what I want…
Thanks again Don.

The nearest would be the Liebherr or the Miele 😉 which should give you a good ten years if not longer.

I agree, those were the good old days. :rolls: Nowadays the parts cost more than the product.
I shall check out the Liebherr and Miele range, but I suspect it shall be expensive.
Thanks for replying.

Hi,
Just a quick update. We went into John Lewis and placed an order for the Bosch KGH39V03 FF. It looked quite nice.

It comes with 2 Years guarantee , along with 2 extra years on the Credit Card I am buying it on. Thats 4 years in total.
Thank you for your replies and help.
Have a nice weekend.
Jas.
