    Hi All,

I have a Hotpoint BWD129 and the dryer doesn’t heat up to dry clothes.
It goes through the motions as if its working ok but there is no heat.

The washer system (I know why buy a combined washer/dryer) works fine.

My initial thoughts are the thermostat but not too sure.
    Please can someone advise. ❓

    Many thanks

Sadly it is almost 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit. Likely candidates are the TOC or safety stat or faulty element. The stat usually fails due to sticking fan. blocked condensor or broken wiring…..or because it is an Indesit. 😥

Be sure to pull the mains plug if you intend to have a poke around inside.

You need will need a meggar or multimeter to test the cut out for continuity and the element for resistance/continuity.

    Jim.

    Cheers for the info Jim,

I didn’t realise Indesits were so bad. 😥

Can someone let me know where the condenser is so that I can check if it’s blocked.
I suppose this is the first area to look at.
