    Evening all,

I was wondering if I could gather some help from the Irish members.

I’m 16 and I collect old washings machines etc. and fix them up for a hobby. I like anything from 1955 to 1995 may it be twin tubs, single tubs, spinners, top loading autos, front loading autos, washer/dryers or tumble dryers and even the odd vacuum cleaner! I am admired for this hobby and folks are happy to see that I am not another yob that hangs around street corners.

Anyway cut to the chase, I was wondering if you’s could keep a look out for me as many of the machines I want are rather hard to get. I am only starting out but I have room for about 10 things. I love to fix these up and I am determined to save the classics before it’s too late.

The following are machines I’d really like but honestly I’ll consider anything as long as it isn’t a rust bucket that has no hope of survival.

Hotpoint twin tub: Models 1400 to 9410
Hoover twin tub: Model 3334 to T5054
    Servis twin tub: Any
    Hotpoint Countess single tub
    Hoover Keymatic
Hoover front loading automatic of some sort
Hotpoint 1600/1830 square door 1100rpm front loading automatic
Hotpoint Liberator purple door front loading automatic
    Hotpoint 18### front loading automatic
    Hotpoint 95### front loading automatic
    Hotpoint 95## front loading automatic
    Hotpoint Microtronic
    Hotpoint Microprofile
    Hotpoint WD22, WD31 or WD41 washer/dryer
    Matching dryers
Servis front loading automatic of some kind, maybe a Quartz.
Hotpoint top loading automatic pre 96##
    English Electric front loading automatic
    Creda, Electra etc.

*Hotpoint was exported as Gala until 1970

I live in Donegal but I don’t care about distance.

Please post here or email me at “thejamesrankin@live.com”

    Thank you, James.
