It is a thermostat from an oven.
I have found the manufacturer’s website (http://www.campinicorel.it/cmsCampini/P … _en-9.html), to check that they still make it, but have not found a UK distributor.
Any ideas?

Yes. 😉
Give me the model number, make and anything else off the rating plate of the oven that you have.
More often than not the manufacturer of the part’s information is utterly useless to us as everything in this industry is part number driven. No part number, can’t do a thing with it. Can’t look it up, couldn’t tell you if it was a thermostat, a motor or a box of frogs.
We get the part number from a process of make>model>(serial/PNC/Index)>part number.
There is rarely an exception to this method.
Sorry for being blunt, but without the relevant information no-one will be able to help you.

I just had a look at that page in more detail from Campini.
There’s one very vital bit of information missing from it… what temperature the stat is preset to or, what range it’s to read.
In an oven I’d expect it to be used as a cycling stat or a temperature overheat cutout. In either event, it will be preset for the particular application to a temperature as the information there is generic for a multitude of different applications. Each application will have a production run specific to that application.
Hence the requirement for the part number or you could just end up with a random temperature that may well not work as you need it to. 😉

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. It is a SMEG A1 Opera cooker, but I don’t have the other details to hand.
I’ll have to look it up tomorrow, as my wife has already gone to bed.

I think this is the right part number: 818730566, which is available from SMEG UK.
Without the right part number, it is difficult to be sure…

If you remind me tomorrow (I will forget ;)) I’ll post up a parts blowout if I can dig one up, which I should have in the office for an A1.
I’ll be able to track it down for you and may be able to offer alternatives from the Smeg one, maybe as some Smeg prices are just stupid.

SMEG A2 Type 2DA N 090 05795I have a Smeg with almost identical ID, the only difference being the last 5 digits – so SMEG A2 Type 2DA N 090 05732.
What exactly is the correct designation for this model when I am looking for spare parts? Apparently A2-2DA doesn’t exist and there are lots of different variants of the model A2.
Can anyone shed any light on this? I am looking for a replacement oven fan motor but is struggling to identify the correct one.
TIA
