Hi guys i’m looking for a part for an american style top loading whirlpool washing machine. The part is the little black camshaft that goes through the middle of the timer.(it also holds the knob on) The issue is that the timer is sticking and not advancing. From memory i’ve had this problem before but i had a second hand timer i could just take it from. I’ve had a look at the shaft and the two little lugs have cracked but are just about hanging on in there. I’ve also had a look for the part but i can only seem to find the whole timer :s hope that’s not the case!

    Model; 3rlsq8533jq3
    ser; cr5001977
    Part; “camshaft” for timer

    Thank in advance DJ

Sticking timer is more than likely faulty mechanism in my experience.

The black shaft is only to secure the knob and serves no other purpose.
