    Please help!!!
I bought it in March 2004 so is out of any type of warranty. It has been fine until a couple of weeks ago when it began to make a lot of noise when spinning. Then the belt came off. My OH put that back on but noted that it would only stay on if it was on the very inner edge at the top. It worked for about 10 days while we were away and only my daughter was home so not having much usage and making noise as someone else on here said “like a weapon of mass destruction”. As soon as we came home with holiday washing the belt came off again, did 1 load after replacement but then came off again and as soon as the machine was restarted with it replaced again came off. Inside it looks as though the drum is sagging towards the front. OH gave up in disgust and fetched me his to borrow for a week so I could get the washing mountain done & I have to decide whether to buy a new one or try and get it repaired.
He thinks it is the bearings and would be difficult to change as it doesn’t seem possible to even get the whole back off and after reading on this site about sealed drum units we are wondering whether it is one of those and if it is even repairable at all. He doesn’t want to waste time and effort trying to take it to bits if it’s not repairable. (he has changed bearings and such on older models in the past) Please could someone advise?

    its not a sealed drum

the front of the machine is removeable, as is the drum, and it can be split

although the bearings are bad, bearings and a drum spider (at most) are available, and its not a bad repair

but there are 2 types of bearings, its not a bad repair, and i still think wma machines are better than a lot of the new tat out there

    its your call
